Saundatti Yellamma Temple, is one of the captivating temples in Karnataka. Abode of, Goddess Renuka Yellamma Devi, this temple is situated at, a distance of 70kms from, Belgaum. Nestled on the pinnacle, of a colossal mountain at 5kms, from the city, this temple was built, in Chalukyan, Rashtrakuta, and Jain style, of architecture. Established by Bommappa Naik, of Raybag in 1514, the mountain on which, this temple is located, was known as Siddhachal Parvat. There are temples of Lord Ganesh, Mallikarjun, Parshuram, Eknath, Siddeshwar, etc in the temple premises. The temple festivities or Jaatre of Saudatti Yellamma temple will be held, twice a year, from October to April, and will be participated by not just disciples from Karnataka, but also from Maharashtra, Goa, and Andhra Pradesh. 

 

In 1975, this temple management was handed over, to the Government. Ever since then, the government has taken initiatives, to construct Dharmashalas, Health Centres, and other facilities, for the betterment of the devotees.
