Established in 1936, this National Park was formerly called Hailey’s National Park. It is also termed as one of the oldest, and most preeminent National Parks in India. This Project Tiger Reserve was unveiled in the year 1973 and is considered, one of the unrivaled Tiger territories in India, to protect the most endangered Royal Indian Tigers. Spanning over an extent of 520 square kilometers, the entire area of this National Park consists of hills, marshy depressions, riverside belts, grasslands, and a large lake.

You can travel in an open jeep, or ride on an elephant back to explore the vast environs here. Jim Corbett National Park is a dwelling place of Tigers and rare species like Otters, as well as the regional fish-eating crocodile. Dhikala, a zone in this National Park is the most popular destination situated on the borders of the Patil Dun Valley.

Ramnagar is the best route to reach this National Park. This petite city is well-connected by roadways and railways in the major metros like Delhi, Moradabad, Nainital, and Bareilly. It just takes half-an-hour from Ramnagar to reach this National Park.
By Road – It takes 250kms from Delhi to reach Corbett National Park. You can travel in one of the Uttarakhand Government buses, which are very frequent from Delhi, Moradabad, Haldwani, and Nainital to reach this National Park directly. Delhi to Ramnagar Bus
