Saurkundi Lake Trek, is one of the paradises, for ardent trekkers. Also known as the Rani Sui Lake trek, Saurkundi got its name from two words, Saur which means Lake and Kundi means, a “Frying Pan”. Hence, Saukundi means Lake in the shape of a frying pan. This lake is dedicated to Maharishi Shandilya, and umpteen devotees throng here, to have a holy dip, in this sacred lake.
