Sangla Valley ~ Himachal Pradesh

Sangla is a town in Baspa Valley, which is also called Sangla Valley. This enchanting valley is situated in Kinnaur district, of Himachal Pradesh. To reach Sangla Valley from Shimla, it takes 223kms. In the Tibetian language, Sangla means “Passing light.” It also refers to the golden rays of the Sun, falling on this valley. As it is placed in the Tibetian borders, travelers were prohibited to enter this tourist spot before. As Sangla/Baspa river flows across this valley, it is called Sangla/Baspa valley. 

 

 

Activities offered in Sangla Valley are Camping, Nature Walk, Rappelling, Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Trekking, Yoga, and Angling.

How to reach Sangla Valley

Chandigarh is the nearest place to reach Sangla valley, as it is situated at 350kms. However, you need to go via Shimla. From Shimla, it takes another 6-8hrs to reach Sangla Valley.
